Our last stop before Seward was a wildlife refuge on the Kenai Peninsula.  A varied collection of Alaskan animals was kept there.  The caribou were busy scraping the velvet off their antlers or test-driving their new racks.  A porcupine in a cage rocked and stamped its feet.  Two orphaned baby moose browsed on shrubs in their corral.

Left:  Two male caribou are locked in combat for fifteen minutes, or perhaps they are just stuck.
Inset:  A magpie flies over a herd of resting deer.
