Scholarships

We help women succeed in higher education on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 2001 the Southern New York Branch awarded three $400 scholarships to senior girls from Vestal High School, Union-Endicott High School, and Johnson City High School.
AAUW is the largest source of nongovernmental funding for women graduate students. Last year the AAUW Educational Foundation awarded more than $2.8 million in graduate fellowships to college women across the nation, funds that are raised each year from individual members and branches. The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund provides funds and a support system for women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination in higher education.
