On our own for dinner, we took the lodge shuttle into the village of Talkeetna to find a restaurant. the driver dropped us off at Lattitude 62, a restaurant at the edge of town boasting a friendly Labrador retriever as a greeter. Having just had a fish and chips snack at the lodge, we weren't ready to eat again, so we explored the shops on the main street. One gift shop and the general store were open.
